20 ноября в 19:00 книжный клуб РГГУ совместно с журналом ЛОГОС проводит презентацию русского перевода легендарной книги Эрнста Канторовича “Два тела короля”. Исследование Канторовича посвящено средневековой интерпретации королевской власти, построенной вокруг тела монарха. Средневековая доктрина права утверждала, что в отличие от простых смертных, король обладает сразу двумя телами. Одно из них является физическим и подвержено смерти, другое же, политическое тело, мыслилось через целый комплекс юридических и теологических идей и являлось подлинным выражением королевской власти.
Книгу представит переводчик текст на русский язык и один из крупнейших современных медиевистов России Михаил Бойцов. К дискуссии также приглашены историк права Александр Марей и философ Андрей Тесля.
